l’Union européenne, aux États-Unis, au Canada et au Royaume-Uni

- Nos élèves ne passent pas les examens nationaux comme dans les Language Schools.
- Néanmoins, nos élèves étudient l’arabe et ceux qui ne partent pas étudier à l’étranger s’inscrivent, en Egypte, aussi bien dans des universités privées que publiques.
- Durant leur scolarité à l’Université égyptienne, nos élèves devront passer un examen de ratrapage (niveau lycée) en arabe, religion et études sociales.
- Au cas où vous voulez transférer votre enfant dans une Language school, il sera considéré comme un Égyptien ayant résidé à l’étranger et aura droit à une dérogation du Ministère égyptien de l’éducation pour les examens égyptiens.
- En France, les enfants sont scolarisés dès leurs trois ans en petite
section de maternelle. - La maternelle n’est pas un jardin d’enfant.
- Les enseignants y appliquent un programme permettant l’acquisition de
compétences sociales, motrices, intellectuelles et langagières.

- As an Embassy school, we are not compelled to give the Egyptian curriculum. But our students study Arabic and those who will not enroll in a College abroad join both private and State Universities in Egypt.
- In an Egyptien College, they will have to sit for an exam in Arabic, Religion and Social Studies.
- In case you want to join any Language School, your child is considered just like an Egyptian coming from overseas. He/she is eligible to a derogatory status from the Egyptian Ministry of Education.
- In France, children usually go to school since they are two or three
years old (Maternelle). - The maternelle (which lasts three years) is not a kindergarten.

C’est avec grand plaisir que j’assume depuis ce mois les fonctions de proviseur de l’école française de Sharm el Sheikh. Je découvre tout juste ses élèves souriants, ses enseignants motivés ainsi que ses parents d’élèves aux nationalités variées mais tous unis dans la même recherche d’un enseignement de qualité pour leurs enfants. Issu du Ministère français de l’éducation, j’ai passé l’essentiel de ma carrière en tant que professeur puis personnel de direction dans des établissements français de l’étranger. Je connais bien l’Égypte où j’ai dirigé un établissement scolaire homologué pendant sept ans.

Pour moi, travailler dans le Sinaï où je me suis établi voilà deux ans est une chance. J’ai accepté ce défi car je suis certain que notre école possède un fort potentiel de croissance et que, grâce à l’excellence du système français, elle est à même de jouer un rôle incontournable dans le paysage scolaire de Sharm-el-Sheikh.
Au moment où de multiples établissements scolaires français ouvrent en Egypte, alors que nombre d’écoles à programme français demandent leur homologation auprès du Ministère français de l’éducation, l’Ecole française de Sharm el Sheikh ne saurait rester à l’écart de ce mouvement.
Mon objectif, en plein accord avec l’association de parents d’élèves (APE), est de conduire l’établissement vers une nouvelle ère:
Passer à l’enseignement direct et abandonner le CNED.
Augmenter les effectifs, notamment en maternelle.
Ouvrir, des la rentrée 2022, en partenariat avec l’institut français d’Égypte, une classe d’intégration pour les élèves scolarises jusque-là dans des établissements non francophones et qui voudraient nous rejoindre en élémentaire.
Demander un accompagnement à l’ambassade de France pour une homologation.
Demander l’homologation par le Ministère de l’éducation pour la rentrée 2024.
Rejoindre un des réseaux français de l’éducation à l’étranger.
Ces outils permettront à notre école d’assurer sa pérennité et de remplir au mieux sa mission: faire de vos enfants des citoyens ouverts sur ce qui les entoure, dotés d’esprit critique et d’un bagage de connaissances qui les rendra capables de faire leur chemin dans un monde toujours plus complexe.
Je suis sûr que, tout comme moi, vous aurez à cœur de faire croître et prospérer cet établissement pour le bien-être de vos enfants.

It is with great pleasure that I became this month the headmaster of the French school of Sharm el Sheikh. I have just discovered our smiling students, our motivated teachers as well as our parents of various nationalities but all united in the same search for quality education for their children. I have spent most of my career of a teacher and a headmaster in schools overseas under the umbrella of the French Ministry of Education. I know Egypt well, where I ran an accredited school for seven years in Cairo.

As for myself, working in the Sinai where I settled two years ago is a chance. I accepted this challenge because I am certain that our school has strong growth potential and that, thanks to the excellence of the French system, it is able to play an essential role between the schools of Sharm-el-Sheikh. .
At a time when many French schools are opening in Egypt, while a number of schools with a French curriculum are seeking approval from the French Ministry of Education, the French School of Sharm el Sheikh cannot remain on the sidelines of this movement.
My objective, in full agreement with the parents’ association (APE) as well as with Mrs Ricordel, attachée à la coopération éducative à l‘Institut français d’Egypte, is to lead the school towards a new era:
Make a transition from distance learning (CNED) to direct teaching (a requisite for homologation).
Increase students numbers, especially in maternally (kindergarten).
Open, from September 2022, in partnership with the French Institute in Egypt, an integration class for students previously educated in non-French-speaking schools who would like to join us in primary school.
Request support from the French Embassy for official accreditation (homologation) by the French Ministry of Education.
Request direct accreditation (homologation) by the Ministry of Education for September 2024.
Join one of the French networks for education abroad (Mlf, AEFE, AFLEC).
These tools will allow our school to ensure its sustainability and best fulfill its mission: to make of your children citizens with an open mind, endowed with critical thinking and a wealth of a knowledge that will enable them to their way in an ever more complex world.

William Williams2023-09-27This school changed my children's lives. When we came to Sharm my kids could not speak a word of French. The school worked with us and we were able to place a shadow teacher with each child. Now my children are fluent in French. The classes are small, usually less than 10 students. Each child receives personal attention. Something I didn't know when we joined the school; graduates from the school are eligible to attend university in France, tuition free as if they were French. We would move from Sharm, and Egypt if not for this school.

Mr. Frèdrèc the Headmaster of the school was very helpful explaining everything regarding school from the first time we were there .. and we knew that he is a true educator the way he was acting with our son .. kindergarden teachers Miss Wassila and Miss Madonna were the amazing surprise for us .. they changed the behaviour of our son from being so shy to be socialized and expressing himself within 2 days from the start of the school which proves their experiences in teaching .. As each day passes .. we make sure that we took the right decision by enrolling our son in this school ❤
